Raleigh wisp spares.
Also now looking for a exhaust frone pipe, PLEASE help a wisp owner in distress.
And Wisp riders??????????????
Wisp riders tend not to suffer from impacted faeces I believe! Just one of the many benefits of classic moped ownership.
Trust you!
Must admit one of the funniest things I ever saw on an NACC run was Bob Wayte riding a Wisp and attempting to fight off a marauding dog whilst navigating a narrow lane somewhere in deepest West Wiltshire. Give him his due he kept it all upright and got away from the dog, but he has got a fairly low centre of gravity!
If you haven't been inundated with offers of Wisp exhaust pipes I think I can help. I've found a very shiny pipe in the depths of my garage tonight - let me know if you haven't found one yet.
Hi Nick, i havnt found an exhaust yet, your offer would be great. If you can give me a price and the best way to get a payment to you. I do have a paypal account if that is any help.
Just come in from the garage, i have stripped the engine down, the crank bearings are fit for the big , i thought i might have found some endfloat shims but there wasnt any, the conrod main bearing seems okay so it going back in, the cases can now be bead blasted, the next job it to weld a new piece of tube onto the frame for the stand to bolt on to, dont know where the origianl is, probably still on the stand on a road in the IOM.
Cheers
I'll stick it in the post tomorrow and hold you to a pint of something at a road run somewhere. While I was in the garage I dug out a few more bits for eBaying - all listed now.
You are too good, thank you very much.
Are they wisp parts you have listed?
Just checked out your items, argh i need a headlight rim, i best get bidding!!!!!!!!
The headlight rim is very good. Exhaust in the post today so should be with you early next week.
Hi NIck, that exhaust is like new. Thank you very much. If i win the headlight rim on Ebay i will sort you out for the exhaust as well. My box of new parts has arrived from aplins, lots of good looking parts.
Let the rebuild start.
A pleasure. No bids on the headlamp rim yet so you're still in with a chance! I always enjoy opening Brian's parcels, such exciting stuff on his shelves.
Hello nickdevonport, i see in another post you had a white wisp coil, do you still have it available, the threaded fittings have snapped on mine while removing them, starting to get sick of the sight of rust.
Cheers.
I'll have a dig through my spares crates next time I'll visit the lock-up. Sure I've got something suitable in the murky depths somewhere.
A thorough search of the garage has failed to locate the Wisp coil stocks but I saw this on the Devil's Web Site tonight:
